Founded in response to the ever-growing demand for skilled individuals in the field of computer use, Metropolitan Learning Institute, Inc. offers thorough training in the newest computer software for PC applications. The latest computer technologies of the new millennium including the Internet are covered in our coursework, taught by skilled educators with years of teaching and practical business experience.

The Mission Statement of the Metropolitan Learning Institute, Inc. is to see each graduate prepared with the drive, academic education; theoretical background, practical hands-on experience and knowledge of the field which he or she needs to successfully compete for employment in today's business environment.

MLI offers support and guidance with effective instruction and long-term academic support, excellent programs & courses covering the latest and most-demanded skills, computer resources (hardware/software) using powerful current technology, and job development, ESL training and counseling to prepare students for "the world of work".

Metropolitan Learning Institute, Inc. currently offers the following program of study:

Computer Office Technology and ESL – 1500 hours
Computer Office Technology with Medical Billing and ESL-1500 hours
Computer Office Technology/Bookkeeping and ESL-1500 hours
Computer Office Technology for Legal Office and ESL-1500 hours

The Metropolitan Learning Institute, Inc. has a faculty teaching cadre with professional qualifications, who will teach students both an in-depth knowledge of their subjects and of how to best use that knowledge in business.

All teaching staff are licensed by the New York State Education Department.

Two class sessions are available to students: morning and evening.
Classes meet within the following range of hours:

  • Mornings between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
  • Evenings between the hours of 5:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.
An applicant who wants to matriculate in a study program must be available for the class session for the entire length of the program.

An applicant whose work schedule or other obligations conflict with the session hours will not be admitted into the program.
